چکیده

Wireless powered communication networks (WPCNs) will act as a major enabler of massive machine type communications (MTCs), which is service domain for 5G and beyond systems. The MTC be deployed by using low-power transceivers with finite discrete configurations. This paper considers minimum length scheduling problem full-duplex WPCNs, where users transmit information to hybrid access point at rate chosen from set discrete-rate levels. optimization energy causality, data maximum power constraints, proven NP-hard. As solution strategy, we define the (MLS) slot, slot transmission completion time while starting anytime after decision time. We solve optimally given order based on optimality analysis MLS slot. For general problem, categorize whether slots overlap over propose optimal algorithm non-overlapping scenario allocating slots, polynomial-time heuristic overlapping user earliest Through simulations, demonstrate significant gains allocation.

Full-Duplex Operations in Wireless Powered Communication Networks

In this paper, a wireless powered communication network (WPCN) consisting of a hybrid access point (H-AP) and multiple user equipment (UEs), all of which operate in fullduplex (FD), is described. We first propose a transceiver structure that enables FD operation of each UE to simultaneously receive energy in the downlink (DL) and transmit information in the uplink (UL). We then provide an energ...

Optimal Time Scheduling for Wireless-Powered Backscatter Communication Networks

This letter introduces a novel wireless-powered backscatter communication system which allows sensors to utilize RF signals transmitted from a dedicated RF energy source to transmit data. In the proposed system, when the RF energy source transmits RF signals, the sensors are able to backscatter the RF signals to transmit date to the gateway and/or harvest energy from the RF signals for their op...

Hybrid Scheduling in Heterogeneous Half- and Full-Duplex Wireless Networks

Full-duplex (FD) wireless is an attractive communication paradigm with high potential for improving network capacity and reducing delay in wireless networks. Despite significant progress on the physical layer development, the challenges associated with developing medium access control (MAC) protocols for heterogeneous networks composed of both legacy half-duplex (HD) and emerging FD devices hav...

Minimum Throughput Maximization in UAV-Aided Wireless Powered Communication Networks

This paper investigates unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV)-aided wireless powered communication network (WPCN) systems where a mobile access point (AP) at the UAV serves multiple energyconstrained ground terminals (GTs). Specifically, the UAVs first charge the GTs by transmitting the wireless energy transfer (WET) signals in the downlink. Then, by utilizing the harvested wireless energy from the UAV...
